Deep Waters incorporates botanical pigments and dye on paper with a beeswax resist. Pigments include Orange Cosmos, Golden Rod, Tara Pod, and Indigo.   Layers are created by submerging the paper into dye baths and the pigments are absorbed in the the papers' fibers- allowing them to take their own shape and depth.

The artwork is mounted on a hardwood cradle with an acid-free wheat paste and framed in maple with a natural finish.  The painting is protected with an additional layer of wax and UV varnish.
